Light Corn Bread

Ingredients
4 T shortening or bacon grease
2 Cups white cornmeal
1/2 Cup flour
1/2 Cup sugar
2/3 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 Cups buttermilk

Directions
Put skillet with shortening ino oven while preheating the oven to 350. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add buttermilk. Remove hot skillet from oven and pour hot shortening into batter. Pour batter into hot skillet. Bake for about 45-55 minutes.
